Remember a lighter body needs fewer calories, so do not forget to adjust to smaller portions as the weight loss keeps happening.

1. Use a smaller plate for your meals. Research shows that if you simply switch to a smaller plate, you will eat less.

2. Increase the greens (and the reds and yellows) - fruits and salads. A good idea is to start with a bowl of salad or fruit.

3. Include some low fat milk or milk products - they also help to reduce.

4. A high protein diet helps too. More of the pulses lean meats and fish, preferably cooked with less fat.
